It was power cleans for me today. I just couldn't deal after the last 5 wods.

    Power cleans for 5:50, which is a pr for me with the power clean. Still a good wod, but no comparision to squat cleans.

    I need a day of rest.

  2. Well what the heck boys. I've always been known to be a bit shameless so I'm just gonna say it. I couldn't WO this morning because I have a big painful freaking hemorrhoid in my arse. That's right, I said it, a hemorrhoid. Laugh it up guys.

    I get these bastards every couple of years and trust me if you don't know, you do NOT want to lift ANYTHING with these guys. In fact, even walking, sitting, and even sleeping are painful. Basically just "being" is painful. Sucks. Should be gone in a couple of days. So now that I am not sick, I have ass problems. My dad gets em' too, and so did his dad, it's part of being a Fletcher Boy. Cheers!

    But I do have something useful to post. My buddy Sean introduced me to an electrolyte supplement called "Ultima" that has all of your electrolytes and no sugar. All Gatorade was thrown away. Even the G2 stuff (1/2 the sugar) has considerable high fructose corn syrup, which is of the devil. So lately I've been taking a dose of Ultima after I WOD too.

  3. No more 5 day cycles for me in the near future. It's been a brutal week that started with Eva and finished with Elizabeth. Thank god tomorrow is a rest day. My body needs it BAD.

    Rx'd this bitch with ass to ankles on the cleans and full ROM on the ring dips. No world records here, but this seemed to wind me more than Fran.

    Now for elizabeth. Oh and damn that High fructose corn syrup, I cant give up the ketchup and bbq sauce just yet, it's my favorite part of breakfast. wahhhhhhhh

  5. Oh the harshness here... Fletcher hemorrhoids are a truly painful medical condition, one that should be handled with compassion and empathy, so I won't make fun of you. Even if too much sexual intercourse with primates caused you to acquire these "hemorrhoids" you speak of.

    Hope you recover quickly, and remember you brought it up.

    After checking out the OPT post I think I would have placed in the top 5-8 for the combined scores for all three WOD's, but I totally sandbagged it on the second WOD and didn't even put my shoes on until almost a minute into it so I know I could do better. Will try them all again next time.

  6. Fletch: Sorry to hear about your luck. PLEASE no pictures!! My ol' football coach used to say that there was nothing better than Preparation H straight from the fridge! Maybe try it?

    Shoulders and joints were tight as hell tonight. Took until the middle of the second round before I really felt loose. Subbed rings dips with 2:1 dips + 1:1 push-ups.

    Birthday is tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll combine the Jerk/L-Ups with Angie for a birthday WOD, but celebrating Friday. Later fellas.
