Me gasping for air after today's WOD

AMRAP: 12 65# Power Snatch/10 Push ups 20 minutes
Careful with this one boys. I had to switch to a hang powersnatch in round three when I realize I was going to be bar on bone by the end of the wod. 11 rounds and 7 snatches. Derek thought the cut was really cool and yelled right on to me in front of his client. I responded, "No, actually it sucks." I do not enjoy ripping the skin off of my body, so be careful on this one, it is really easy to do with the light weight.

  2. I forgot. I had to do this at the gym because I got my bumpers but no fucking bar. Now I am in a Kafka-esk search for it with a trucking company that just keeps transfering me to someone else.

  4. My wrist is screwed after those bodyweight max cleans, no total today, and my back is sore as a mutha after the deads yesterday.

    With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.

    Use as many sets each minute as needed.

    Thought I had more in me, but I guess I was wrong. Totally sucked it up today with my squats and felt sorry for myself the whole time. Ugh!

  5. You look at this WOD and go "meh" no big deal. 65# no worries. Well it got the best of me and I was winded to say the least. I got 13 rounds in just as the timer went off.. real close to not finishing the 13th round but the tie goes to the WODoer's.

    Crappy picture I know, but my son can't get enough of my iPhone. I have to hide the damn thing.

  7. I warmed up tonight with sets of jumping rope at 120 rpm. I usually hit 120 at the 50 second mark. Did that with single unders for 9 minutes, then 50 double unders in 1:07 in the 10th minute.

    WOD - 11 rounds in 19:50

    The first 5 minutes felt good, endured the next 10, and tried to finish strong for the last few rounds. Fun WOD, harder than I expected on the low back. Good round of WOD's. Later fellas.

    I assume it was many whacks to the shin. Took my first breather in round three and when I turned around to shake out my shoulders I saw all the blood in the mirror and figured I had better switch it up to the hang snatch. I am the only person I have ever seen in my gym who works out facing the one wall without a mirror. I actully feel quite weird when I do squats because the rack faces a mirror and you have to stare at yourself or close your eyes.

    As a devoted x-fitter the scene at the gym always just seems to get more bizzare to me as I wonder what is being accomplished. Yesterday, two big guys, on separate cable pully machines and totally unaware of each other, while staring intensely at themselves in the mirror and in a crazy half-lunge-squat-leaning to the front position, did some strange twisting exersise with about 20#s on the cable machine. The were both grunting audilble as I passed by and cranked up my I pod to go to work in the big open room. I want to help them, but I just don't have time and I don't think they would listen.

  9. Wow. 14 rounds in 19:56, flat on my back for 5 minutes solid afterwards.

    Interval times in terms of 3 sets per interval

    1-3 = 3:14 (Here's a pace Jacob can hold the whole time I am sure)
    4-6 = 4:35
    7-9 = 4:55
    10-12 = 4:26
    Last two = 2:46

    For efficiency, I was concentrating on the explosion with ass and legs and shrug with traps to get the bar up, and less about pulling up with my arms. I think that's right....
