21-15- 9 95# squat snatch ctb pull up

  1. WODoers: Trying to lean out. 2nd day on 20 blocks with only 1x fat. Constantly hungry, but know I could still really lose another 10 lbs to be in fighting shape. Went from 215 to 200 on 20 blocks with 2 to 3x fat but then weight loss stopped.

    The only thing more humbling than the snatch today was the ctb pullups. Man this was hard for me.

    Can't even think straight now.

    Have you given 30 minutes straight cardio in the morning with only 5 grams protein and 5 grams carbs prior? I've read a few articles interviewing male fitness magazine cover models and every one of those guys swears by 30 minutes to 1 hour of cardio every day to keep super lean in addition to serious weight training.

    Or you could just do “Murph” every day, minus the weight vest of course.

    I’m in the same boat, kind of… I’m trying just to gain lean mass and it’s a nightmare, my weight just teeters around 170lbs-178lbs at my heaviest, although I am 173lbs today. Back in college when all I did was conventional weight lifting I hit 185lbs and was pretty lean, but I’m definitely stronger and faster now that I’m on the Fit.

  3. I knew I couldn't do CTB, but didn't know I am unable to do a full Squat Snatch till yesterday. I can do a power snatch ok, but when I go lower things get wonky. So I did my WU WOD with Rowing, GHD's, BE's, PU's and Ring Dips. Then worked on skillbuilding for the squat snatch, many overhead squats with just the bar up to 95# for practice, till I couldn't hold anything over my head.

  5. U-G-L-Y my power snatches ain't got no alibi, they ugly. Some were alright, but most were ugly. Towards the end it was more of a combination of a high clean/half jerk.

    I'm calling mine not as RX'ed, but complete.
