Enjoy the day... I just rowed a PR 5K of 19:26, beat my previous by exactly 30 seconds. Had the shakes and some dizziness afterwards, but no Pukey!
19 Minutes doesn't seem so far away now. I'll be sitting on peas for the next few days. This marks my sixth consecutive WOD day in a row, knowing that much rest will now be forced upon me.
That is a bad ass 5k time. Is that what you usually wear when you row?
ReplyDeleteSub 20 min 5k Row.... Awesome, hoping to get there soon.

It's nice to see the blog again, good work everyone.
Wow, maybe I found something I am actually good at... because you two are the fittest dudes I communicate with and you think my time is good! Thanks for the encouragement, especially coming from you guys. I need sub 19. Jake, I have a hard time believing you can't row a 5K in sub 20. Must be technique, because your fitness level is off the charts.
ReplyDeleteSitting in bed with laptop after the surgery. Balls ache pretty good to be quite honest. Feel a dull ache like after getting racked.
They gave me valium by needle right in the arm. Procedure took 5 minutes! Anyway, enough about my genitals.
By the way, what would you guys recommend as the best barbell for the money?
ReplyDeleteThe bars Travis and I have from rogue are pretty sick, cheap too
ReplyDeleteRogue if you are on a budget, rippetoe if you have money to burn.
ReplyDeleteNice row Bubba. Hows the family jewels? Get well for when I come out to Denver.
By "cheap" are you guys talking about the $255 Rogue bar? Jewels are on the mend, but I feel like I've been racked. Constant dull ache. Slept OK though, surprisingly. No alcohol right now, that helps me sleep better.
