  1. WODoers:

    Can you really get strong abdominals without doing crunches?

    Fought to keep it together on the overheads. For some unknown reason my abdominal muscles and quads were not quite 100% today. Running went pretty good though. Squats were scary at times.

  2. Yo dudes. Michael Casey here ("akungfuuncle") was once the German national kickboxing champion and is currently one of the, if not THE top ranked Wing Tsun fighter in the US. He's old like me too, a ripe 37!

    Anyway, I subbed everything here, so I just did "Nancy-Ish." Did some barbell (45 lb) OHS during warm-up and it made the shoulder burn and sting, did 3x10 sets, decided not to do this RX'd or I would surely pay.

    I subbed rowing and 135 lb. back squats. Still busted my ass and left a big sweat angel on the floor. I know 75 135 lb back squats aren't as tough as 75 95 lb OHS's but oh well. Doing what I can here boys! Still felt good after that effort, knowing that RX'd Nancy is much tougher anyway.

    TT = 15:30

    PS - Myles, I can't do those CF Games qualifier WOD's cos of my issues, but I wish I could. Cleans are actually my favorite move and the ones that I definitely cannot do right now. Horsepoop.

  3. Thanks for coming over to dinner last night Fletcher. Great seeing you and the family.

    After the drinks, dinner and desert I had a feeling that this am would suck...I was wrong. Was going to do a CF qualifier WOD but I do like Nancy.
    rx'd 15:37
    Had to dump on one set of squats and that was easy thanks to my new dumpers...you don't realize how sweet those are until you have to dump from overhead.

    Have a good weekend WODDERS!

  4. Was gunnin' for ya Kook!

    Apparently last time I did this I did it on an elliptical and questionable depth on the OHS?! 29:38

    Today, ran hard on the treadmill, and for sure FROM on the OHS : 32:50

    Whatever, that pisses me off!!

  5. I was robbed by a sweet old lady in a motorized cart!! As usual this one was tougher than expected when I first read it. 95# OHS are way harder in real life than they are on paper.

    400's in 1:40's-:50's on first 4 and 5th in 2
    My last set of OHS's were better than my first.

    TT = 20:56

    Mean cougar gym owner lady yelled at me for working out at 10:02 tonight because the gym closes at 10:00 on Friday's. Oh well. Whatever, that pisses me off too Morey!!

    Later fellas.

  6. My first round of ohs were broken for some reason, then after that all unbroken. Runs were not that fast like all 8.5-9.0. I left some on the table
    TT 14:49
    I started to teach a class and about midway through I see a sweaty smilin Travis looking through the window and he pokes his head in and says 13:29, ha ha.

  7. WODudes,

    Myles and I were going to do this together and we had a plan for summer CrossFit meeting instead. I had some clients and he did it, then he taught a class. I was on my second or third run and he yells to me 14:29 dude, and I gave him the bird as I kept running because it seemed like a fast time. Anyway, all runs on the treadmill, around 1:47-1:53. All OHS unbroken and relatively easy for some reason.
    Total time: 13:39, had to go rub it in while Myles taught all his ladies.
    Good job Myles, I am just glad to get 1:10 on you today after you made me look like a bitch on Fat Fran by 10 minutes...
    Good job guys, got the games in sight, trying to be a clean liver for four weeks.
    Have a great weekend, wonder what coach has to offer tomorrow. I think I will do the Ausi WOD with the clean and jerks since the 30 clean and jerks for time at the games last year was the hardest fifteen minutes of my entire life.
    Fletcher, thanks for sharing your personal copy of Nancy's picture from your bedside table.
