  1. Starting to feel better, no WOD in 5 days due to the flu. Went to the PT guy yesterday, Justin, you nailed it... it's an "impingement" something about inflammation of the bursa and a subachromyal some kinda shits... don't remember all of the anatomical jargon. He has me on bicep, tricep, and shoulder moves twice a week for three weeks. Low weight, whatever I can do 20 reps of. Doesn't want me to go overhead with anything including pullups, and doesn't want me to do cleans, but he said "you'll be back to all of that soon." The good news is, the rotator cuff is OK. He said had I not backed off, I would have wrecked my RC muscles which can be very bad news.

So tomorrow I'm gonna start these rehab moves, and do WOD's that don't require shoulders or overhead, which is most of them!

I can also do rowing if I don't pull back "all the way" and I can do pushups and ring dips 2/3 ROM, just can't go deep.

Overall, I find this to be good news.

Nuts snipped next Tuesday, so no WOD's for another 10 days there, gonna be a sack of poo.

I'll come back strong though eventually... don't count me out. I'm still fired up in the mind and soul.

  2. I did heavy Helen. 2 pood swing overhead and chest to bar pull ups finished 11:26. Pretty slow considering the #1 euroqualifier did this in 7:49. Fuck the treadmills and I might shave off a minute but damn.

  3. Bubba, this is the workout that we are going to do when I come out next month to Denver: How to get explosive legs.

In CrossFit we call this workout 'Craig' because, well you'll see there is no overheads or pullups, just reach arounds, cowboy rides and bendovers.

  6. Did this one late, at 9pm. Didn't want to work out at all, bad allergy day today. But felt better later, so I went to it after KungFu class. Only a little better than my last of 18:55, this was 18:04. Tomorrow looks interesting.

  7. WODudes, hit this one day late. Went after it with my pro skier buddy Aaron. He suggested that we use a particular set of treadmills only go up to 12.0. I said dude, I only go up to 9.0. Anyway, he ran like the wind and then would get off the treadmill and by the time he picked up his kettle I was done and walking towards mine. Most my runs were fast for me today at 1:40 per .25mi. 53lb Kettles were unbroken and overhead exposing ear standards. Pullups were chest to bar. Only broke on the last set 6,4,2.
    Tornado Time: 9:45
He finished at 13:30, boy runs fast but doesn't do kipping pullups!

  8. WODoers:

Fuuuuuuuuuuck treadmills. Between Danny and the stupid fucking treadmill that wouldn't turn on for 10 seconds or so in rds 2 and 3, today was slow as fuck.

    10:44

Yes, besides the workout I'm having a shitty day!
