  2. Nice work Justin. Did you do the C&J's Grace style or did you do full squat cleans? There are conflicting comments on the main site that's why I'm asking what you all think. My take is full squat cleans, unless specified otherwise.

  3. Chris: I do it Grace style when it says clean and jerk together on a metcon. I do the full squat clean if it just says clean, I never really thought about it before. Would have definitely taken me a little longer to do full, but for me the sets of ten were easy and it was the situps that crushed me in rounds two and three.

  4. Forgot my wrist straps today, so I don't want to hammer out squat clean and jerks. I think I'll save this one for tomorrow and power out squats, then todays WOD and close with J.T. This should be a solid days triple, and I think I'm ready for it, but we'll see.

I don't think I can top Tornado's 6:07, but I'm just hoping to best my own 6:29 and then I'll be happy.

    G.I. Jane

    Jacob 9:15 (PR)

Got my first 40 unbroken then went sets of 20 with a little of a breather in between.

    3 Rounds for time of:
    10 Dumbell Burpee-clean and thruster, 35lbx2
    10 Broad Jump

    Jacob 5:32

  5. Justin even doing the WOD Grace style in that time is damn impressive. C&J's seem to kick my ass.

I did squat cleans for the C&J's. These winded me pretty good. Used the GHD for the situps which seemed extra hard tonight.

    TT: 13:40

My shoulder still doesn't seem right and it was making some awful noises during the jerks. I'm not one for going to the doctors so I'm hoping this gets better. I'm afraid of the diagnosis if I do go. I'm pretty sure it would mean limited WOD's for me and that just isn't an option for me. Maybe I'm stupid for thinking like that.

    Hit it hard guys.

    Later.

  6. This one looks like it'll be fun. I'm going to try it w/ squat cleans, we'll see how that goes come round 2...will hit it Fri.

  7. Smokin time Kook. Looks like we're at House de Justin tonight.

This one was tough for me. I thought I'd do better with the C&J's, but wasn't feeling it. Don't know if it's because I didn't eat a good dinner tonight or if it was just tough. Anyway,

    TT = 14:55

Got my first "reps" of rope climb tonight. I was able to do 3 sets of 3 full reach-and-pull-climb reset's tonight.

Looking forward to finishing out tomorrow and heading into a good weekend. Later fellas.

  8. Jacob, I noticed you changed the name of your site to Garage Gym Szafranski. I was curious if CF asked you to change it? Do you have to be an affiliate to use their name?

  9. Chris if you check out the site games2010.crossfit.com you can see why I changed my site name. The guys from HQ were actually very supportive and pro crossfitszafranski.blogspot.com, but felt since they were interested in posting my athlete profile on the games site and really wanted people to see my training blog I should distance my self from the possiblity of being mistaken as an affiliate.

Long story short I'm going to go to a level 1 cert as soon as possible and the HQ people said I would be able to run my site as a crossfit affilate/non for profit training blog once I complete a basic formal education to crossfit. I told them I can live with that an would be more then happy to oblidge.

Check out the link to the 2007 games to see EVQ's monster times and stats.

    This is pretty cool.

  10. Jacob that is so freaking cool. You have your own athletic profile on the 2010 games site!!

That is kick ass. I'm glad I asked the question.

  11. Jacob, your athlete profile is awesome. Good for you man. Guys, assuming Jacob gets past the sectionals (as long as you don't have to DL 450 lbs you'll make it Jacob!) you should come out to Denver for the regional qualifiers so we can yell in Jacob and Evan's ears. Last spring it was a GREAT event to be a part of. Chris, we'll have to make sure you have a business trip that same weekend. We can make that work.

My hotel room WODs (100 burpees + 100 pushups and then 200 lunges and 200 squats) were actually good quality and good workload. So much so, that even though I wondered if I had to do SQUAT clean and jerks on this one, my legs were shot so I pussed and did floor to overhead. But I did do a 1/2 squat on all reps anyway just cos I caught it halfway down and then jerked it. As I've said before, anything with lots of GHD's my time will suck. I don't know what it is. TT = 12:39. Then I rested ten minutes and did today's WOD TT = 15:37. My double unders were really bad skill-wise. Often times I would only get one or two and have to reset, but I hung in there. Did a 50M row and some OHS too. Not sure why I did some much WODDIN' today, just glad to be home with my gym I guess. :-)

  12. OK, I take back what I said about this one being fun. I got crushed. I did full squats & split jerks, GHDs as rx'd. I wonder now if I should have scaled, either w/ power cleans or down to 115#.

I finished in 17:25. Serious flameout after round 1, which I finished sub-4mins.

  13. Full cleans for me. Followed this w/ the DU back Ext. WOD.

    Got tough quick.
