Muscle Up & Squat

  2. This was very similar to the WOD we had our Saturday class do. It was
    100 squats 2 m,ups
    80 squats 4 mups
    60 squats 6 mups
    40 squats 8 mups
    20 squats 10 mups

    Total 300 squats 30 muscleups
    My time was 10:50. Even though I did this on sat. I will do this wod with you guys today, but only after 6 hours of snowboarding. I will report back in the afternoon.

  3. I was also a pussy. I didn't do the muscle ups because guess what: I can't do them.

    Subs per round: 36 pullups and 18 ring dips (shoulder still popping).

    Wasn't there mentally today either. I have blisters under callouses on top of blisters. What's another 108 pullups, it's not like we've done very many of those lately?

    Warm Up:
    Weighted Pull-ups 15-10-5

    WOD 1
    Weighted Pull-ups 3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3

    WOD 2
    Three rounds for time of:
    10 Mega Muscle-ups (False grip ring pull-up to muscle-up to ring dip, in one consecutive movement)
    30 Overhead Squats, 95lbs

    WOD 3
    Tabata Abs

  6. I only have an 8' ceiling in the Dungeon, and I can't yet do MUs anyway, so: Rings hung ~4' from the floor, pullup from sitting (no legs!), drop legs, then ring pushup as 1 MU progression. I did 2:1, so 24 progressions/75 sq per round. First round, I jumped to top of pushup after standing, then did the ring PU from there; rds 2/3 I did them from standing. I've done these as a sub for MUs before, mostly because I can't stand the back-and-forth of bar PUs/dips.

    I was hoping to beat 25mins but finished in 25:40 w/ legs screaming.

  7. Nice work everyone. Welcome to the site Chas, sounds like a good sub maybe I'll try that next time around. I did 24 Pullups & Ring dips for the muscle ups. Ring dips were extremely hard today. I started off with sets of 6 for each round but then could only do a couple at a time. Needless to say I made up my time with the squats

    R3- 7:26

    Maybe doing 30 muscle ups and 300 squats two days ago helped. I did the first 9 unbroken and then thought I should save some strength. Legs are feelin the abuse. Welcome to the Jungle Chas. Watch out for Fletcher he likes it when dudes sleep at his house.

  9. I either had a problem of extra gravity in H-town compared to Montana, or I had a problem of too much oxygen at the lower elevation.

    1st round 12 ring PU's / 12 ring dips / 75 squats
    2nd and 3rd rounds as RX'ed

    TT = 29:53

    Pullups felt surprisingly awesome. I felt like I was about to take off on my first bar PU. Just didn't have my lungs, but muscles felt really good.

    Got pulled over on my bicycle on the way to the gym tonight by one of the wonderful cocksuckers of the Houston PD tonight. The cocksucker drove by me without his headlights on, then flipped a U-ey, and pulled me over for not having lights on my bike. And, he told me that I have to get a TX driver's license. Fuck off copper! (sorry if any of you are cops) Kook, is there any "legal" way that I can keep my MT license and live down here?
